“Short Films” comedic comic strips created on Gameboy Printer and Camera
In January 2022, I successfully funded my first Kickstarter project. What a way to start the year. In the past I had printed my own comics and wanted to try it on a larger scale, as well as try out the whole Kickstarter thing. It was a lot of work.
“Short Films” are comedic comic strips that I wrote and drew. These comics were then photo’d on an old Gameboy Camera and then printed with the Gameboy Printer, which is essentially a small receipt printer. Each comic came out in a long printed strip which I rolled up and packaged in a branded film tube along with some swag stickers for the Kickstarter. This was my second time making comics on a Gameboy, but the first time that I tried to take it seriously:) The comics are themed in sports and space.
Tom Brinton was a big help in guiding me on this first Kickstarter.
