Mental health communication often defaults to clinical explanation or generic reassurance. AMFM needed a story that could introduce its perspective on recovery with emotional clarity, without reducing people to diagnoses or presenting healing as a simple, universal path.
The creative idea centered on lived experience. Everyday moments and symbolic transitions moved the narrative away from treatment as an abstraction and toward the life someone is working to rebuild. The closing thought, “the parts of your story that matter to you”, became the film’s emotional anchor.
Abstract figures, gentle color, and simplified environments made difficult subject matter approachable without making it sentimental. Each vignette belonged to a consistent visual grammar, giving the film narrative range while preserving calm and continuity.

Production
I art directed, illustrated, and hand animated the piece, shaping each moment around meaning rather than spectacle. The handmade movement introduced texture and vulnerability; repeatable forms kept the production coherent and gave the refreshed brand a language it could extend.
Conclusion
The final film made AMFM’s new direction immediate and human. It expressed recovery through individual stories, introduced the refreshed brand in motion, and established a flexible foundation for future storytelling.
